Travel Journal: The Long Way Home

I've been taking the train from Toronto to Montreal - and Montreal to Toronto - for eleven years now. At first I used to take the bus, but now, older, I find that a 5-8 hours journey on an uncomfortable vehicle takes its toll on my body.

With money tight after returning from my Mexican adventure, I opted for the cheaper long route through Ottawa (as opposed to direct to Toronto) on my way back this time. I was my first time in that station in years and while the stopover and longer travel time was an inconvenience, I was able to capture some pretty interesting geometries.

This is what a night voyage on the train looks like, sometimes; or perhaps a science fiction dream.
